Tithing Challenge

Give Why We Give Financial & Practical Care Tithing Challenge Tithing Challenge Form

Putting God first in our finances is an issue of trust, more than it is about money. The Bible is very clear that the tithe belongs to God. So, tithing (returning the first ten percent of our income to God), demonstrates that Jesus is Lord of our life and our money. It shows that we trust God as our source of provision, and our faith is in Him to meet our needs.
Tithing is an act of worship and obedience to God. However, it is also a commandment tied to great promise. Nowhere else in the scripture does God say to “put Him to the test.” When we tithe, God promises to bless us. While this is not our motive for tithing, it does help remind us that 90% of our income with God’s blessing will always go further than 100% without it.

Take the challenge, and see for yourself.

Whether you’ve never tithed before; or haven’t been tithing faithfully, or maybe you haven’t been giving God the full ten-percent, we challenge you to start tithing faithfully over the next eight weeks. If after eight weeks, you have not tangibly seen the blessing of God in your life, we will give you half your money back. It’s that simple.

Trust God. What do you have to lose?

Here’s how to get started:
Commit to tithing the first ten percent of your income for the next eight weeks.
Return your obligated tithe to God for eight weeks through giving at Salem Church campus or by giving online.
Record what God has done in your life in the eight weeks and Share Your Story with us.
